Through his films and LED signs, Tehran-born artist Arash Nassiri creates parallel realities in which fantasy, memory and history fuse together in order to produce utopian mirages and speculative spaces. What-ifs and guesswork become visions of hybrid landscapes; a recurrent motive is the collective imagination of a potential crossover city between Tehran and Los Angeles. Through a patchwork of reminiscences and post production work, the landscape of this unborn place can be experienced. These motives are represented in the exhibition with a new light sculpture which will be hovering over the main hall.
